Verve
VERVE, short for “Co-creative visioning processes for transformative social innovation in rural areas,” is a participatory action-research project running from September 2022 to January 2025. It engages diverse stakeholders in the Italian North-Eastern Prealps, employing creative and visual methods to support cultural shifts in the way we approach complex sustainability challenges.
Drawing on transformative social innovation theories and regenerative sustainability, VERVE aims to challenge anthropocentric human-nature relationships and foster biocultural diversity. By collaborating with local actors, such as the Fondazione G. Angelini – Centro Studi sulla Montagna and the Local Action Group GAL Prealpi e Dolomiti, the project seeks to empower local communities and support regenerative visions for rural-mountain areas like Belluno Province.
VERVE is funded by the European Union under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (VERVE H2020-MSCA-IF-2020, Grant Agreement n.101025710). Views and opinions expressed are however those of the authors only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union.
